I have been working with Blackmagic Design ATEM Production Studio 4K and similar switcher models. I have the Blackmagic Design Production Studio 4K with Blackmagic SmartScope Duo 4K 8 inch displays with Waveform 
monitoring, in a Gator 4U Rack Case. The ATEM Production Studio 4K has four HDMI inputs and four SDI inputs. It has an SDI Program Out, and an SDI MultiView Out. It has an HDMI Program Out, and and HDMI MultiView Out.
The HDMI Program View is output to a Ninja HDMI SSD video recorder/monitor, which saves the movie in the Apple ProRes editable video format. There is a loop through to support another HDMI monitor, and audio inputs and outputs. The SmartScope Duo 4K displays MultiView with 8 inputs, and Preview and Program View.
The Blackmagic ATEM Production Studio 4K can also output to 4K monitors or video projectors. With signal converters and scalers and other devices, multiple monitors and projectors can be supported.
The ATEM Production Studio 4K inputs, set at the sync frequency and frame rate of 1080i59.94, works with these input devices:

The Blackmagic ATEM Production Studio 4K is controlled by a USB cable and and Ethernet cable from a laptop, and the ATEM Production Studio software program that runs on a Dell Inspiron 13 inch touchscreen PC or a Mac laptop. The ATEM Production Studio software runs on Windows and macOS. The Strata app on iOS can work with the switcher, and METAControl on Android also, if you have set up a wireless network with the ATEM Production Studio.
ATEM is a Blackmagic Design family name of switcher products. ATEM is based on the name of the Egyptian god, Atum.
